1. About HeySocialFish
HeySocialFish is operated by HeySocialFish Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the HeySocialFish platform ("Service"), including our website at https://www.heysocialfish.com, the web application at https://app.heysocialfish.com, mobile applications, APIs, and all related services.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
We are a small, independent team building a platform we genuinely care about. These Terms are written to be read, not to obscure. If something is unclear, just ask: support@heysocialfish.com.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements.
3. Your Account & Workspace
Each account operates within a workspace — your private environment within HeySocialFish where your plans, content, connections, and AI history live. Your workspace is isolated from all other users. We do not cross-share workspace data between accounts.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@heysocialfish.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
You may not share your account credentials or allow other individuals to access the Service through your account.
4. Workspace Access & Multi-User Liability
HeySocialFish workspaces are single-user by default. If you choose to share your login credentials or grant others access to your workspace — whether intentionally or otherwise — you accept full responsibility for any actions taken within your workspace as a result.
We take the protection of your workspace seriously. The following commitments apply:
- Data isolation: Your workspace data is stored separately and is not accessible to other users of the platform. No other user can query, view, or obtain data from your workspace through normal or API-level use of the Service.
- Connected platform credentials: OAuth tokens and access credentials for your connected social platforms (e.g. TikTok, LinkedIn, Instagram) are stored encrypted in Azure Key Vault. They are never exposed in plaintext, never shared with third parties beyond the intended integration, and cannot be retrieved via the application interface.
- No HeySocialFish-initiated access: HeySocialFish staff do not access your workspace content in the normal course of operations. Access may only occur for essential support or legal compliance purposes, and only with appropriate authorisation.
- Your responsibility: You are responsible for the security of the device and account used to access HeySocialFish. HeySocialFish is not liable for breaches arising from your sharing of credentials, use of insecure devices, or actions taken by individuals you have permitted access to your account.
In plain terms: we will not let anyone else see your stuff. But we also can't protect you from yourself if you hand your password out.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to distribute spam, malware, or unlawful content
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
- Use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Misuse AI credits or attempt to circumvent usage limits
- Use the Service to generate content that is defamatory, illegal, or harmful
6. AI Features & Limitations
HeySocialFish uses artificial intelligence to provide content suggestions, analysis, and strategic guidance. You acknowledge that:
- AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your specific context
- You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving all content before publication
- We never auto-post to any social platform — all publishing requires your explicit approval
- AI suggestions do not constitute professional business, legal, financial, or marketing advice
- Results vary by niche, audience, and effort — we make no guarantees of specific outcomes
7. Subscriptions & Billing
Subscription fees are charged in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All prices are shown excluding UK VAT (20%), which applies to UK customers. Prices are in GBP.

Live billing is integrated via Mollie Payment Gateway (https://www.mollie.com). Our website domain registered with Mollie is https://www.heysocialfish.com. You will be notified before any charges are applied.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Billing. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods except where required by law.
8. Intellectual Property
HeySocialFish and its licensors own all rights, title, and interest in and to the Service, including all associated intellectual property. You retain ownership of all content you create using the Service.
By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process and store your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
9. Data Protection
We take data protection seriously. Our full Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. By using the Service, you consent to data processing as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HeySocialFish Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms, with or without notice. You may close your account at any time from Settings.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified to you via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

If you're using HeySocialFish in its early days — welcome, and thank you. Early adopters have a genuine opportunity to influence what this platform becomes.
